Press conference demanding 5 points including assimilation of teachers and staff

A press conference of the newly-governed Secondary Teachers’ Association was held at the Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad auditorium at Topkhana Road on Tuesday, August 18, 2021.

The convener of the new government secondary teachers’ association read a written statement at the press conference. Azim Uddin. Parimal Chandra Sarkar, joint convener of the newly government-run Secondary Teachers’ Association, said. Mamnoor Rashid Chowdhury. Also present were the central leaders of the newly governed Secondary Teachers Association.

At the press conference, the following 5-point demand was presented at the initiative of the newly governed Secondary Teachers’ Association:
(1) All the teachers and employees appointed in accordance with the rules during the private period should assimilate to their respective posts.
(2) From the date of first MPO registration, experience should be counted and included in the rank-based gradation list.
(3) On the day of governmentization of the institution, all the teachers and employees who have not passed the age of 59 years shall be provided government benefits through ghost recruitment.
(4) If the post of headmaster is not created in the assimilation school, the headmaster and assistant headmaster shall be retained in their posts during the interim period till the rules are enacted.
(5) Government teachers and employees of the Vocational BM branch should be included and the government salary and allowance should be paid by appointing an ad hoc officer in the month of August by formulating assimilation rules as soon as possible.
